Analysis Comes In After Witness Testimony During Hearing
Fulton County (Georgia) District Attorney Fani Willis and her special prosecutor Nathan Wade have faced allegations of a romantic relationship that may call their involvement in the Trump election case into question. The key point of contention lies in the timeline of when their relationship began, with the defense making a strong effort to disqualify them from the case. On Tuesday, the court finally heard testimony from Terrence Bradley, a key witness who previously exchanged texts with one of the defense attorneys regarding the timeline of the relationship.
During his testimony, Bradley was shown videos that captured his reaction to being confronted about his texts with Michael Roman’s defense attorney, Ashleigh Merchant. In the texts, Bradley confirmed that the relationship started before Wade was hired, saying “Absolutely.” This was a crucial moment in the trial, as Bradley had previously denied knowing when the relationship began.

In a later text, Bradley elaborated, saying that the relationship began when Willis left the DA’s office and became a judge in South Fulton. He also mentioned that they met at a municipal court CLE conference. The defense pointed out the discrepancy between his testimony and his previous texts, which caused Bradley to mutter, “Oh dang!” under his breath, realizing the implication of his words.
Attorney Phil Holloway spoke about the texts on Megyn Kelly’s podcast, stating that the Georgia state Senate has launched an investigation into the DA’s office in light of these new revelations. The investigating committee has also issued a subpoena for all relevant documents in Merchant’s possession, as they seek to uncover the truth about the alleged relationship.
Holloway went on to reveal that there are also ongoing ethics investigations into Willis, adding to the mounting pressure she faces. The defense attorney who questioned Bradley during the trial, Steve Sadow, also pointed out the contradiction between his testimony and his texts. When asked why he would “speculate” about the timeline when he had previously given a clear answer, Bradley responded, “I have no answer for that.”
This development has raised serious concerns about the integrity of the case against Roman. If it is proven that the relationship between Willis and Wade began before the hiring date, it could have a significant impact on the outcome of the trial. Furthermore, it calls into question the actions of the district attorney and her special prosecutor, who are supposed to be impartial and uphold the law.
The judge overseeing the case expressed his concern about the potential bias and conflict of interest if the relationship between Willis and Wade did indeed start before Wade was hired. He called for a special hearing to further investigate the matter and determine the validity of the defense’s claims.
As the Senate investigation and ethics probes continue, all eyes will be on Fani Willis and Nathan Wade to see how they will respond to these allegations. The truth is yet to be determined, but as more evidence comes to light, it appears that there may have been an ulterior motive behind Willis’s appointment of Wade as the special prosecutor in the Trump election case. Time will tell if justice will prevail, and the verdict will be based on unbiased facts and not influenced by personal relationships.
