Another Democrat Is Looking To Join Bloomberg And Jump Into The Democrat Primary
Former US Attorney General Eric Holder is reconsidering running for the Democrat nomination for president in 2020 after he previously ruled out running. This news comes as former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg filed presidential primary paperwork in Alabama signaling he is joining the race.
Holder did strongly consider running in 2020, he did some early traveling, and speeches in key states. Then in March 2019 Holder said that he would not be running in the primary and was going to work on redistricting efforts.
However, since Democrats are not happy with their current pool of candidates Washington Post columnist Eugene Robinson reported late Thursday evening that Holder is looking at getting into the race.
“It gets even more interesting. I hear from a good source that Eric Holder has been consulting strategists about possibly jumping into the Dem presidential race. NYT reports Michael Bloomberg is seriously considering a late entry as well,” said Robinson

Politico reports:
Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is preparing to file paperwork to qualify for the Democratic presidential primary in Alabama, ahead of a Friday deadline. The move would be a first step toward a national campaign, though Bloomberg has not made a final decision to run.
Bloomberg aide Howard Wolfson is quoted in the story as well, suggesting that Bloomberg is actively considering jumping into the still-crowded 2020 Democrat presidential primary field. Wolfson said:
We now need to finish the job and ensure that Trump is defeated — but Mike is increasingly concerned that the current field of candidates is not well positioned to do that. If Mike runs he would offer a new choice to Democrats built on a unique record running America’s biggest city, building a business from scratch and taking on some of America’s toughest challenges as a high-impact philanthropist.
It’s unclear how Holder would be able to raise the funds needed and put a campaign together. Bloomberg has $50 billion as to Holder who would need to start from scratch.
Mike Bloomberg has $50 billion. what’s Eric Holder’s theory of how he’d build a campaign at the last minute? https://t.co/Mb9bkawBVG

Democrats can put whomever they want up against President Trump, they don’t have a chance, and they know it.
