Big City Liberal Mayor Busted: Ordered The Public To Stay Home, While On A Lavish International Vacation With Guests
Austin Mayor Steve Adler recorded a Facebook video on November 9th telling the public to “stay home if you can…this is not the time to relax.”
What he didn’t tell you was during the video he was one night into a stay at a luxurious timeshare in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico after flying in a private jet with family members and eight guests.
“We need to stay home if you can. This is not the time to relax. We are going to be looking really closely. … We may have to close things down if we are not careful.”
The Mexico trip was after his family hosted a wedding for his daughter.
At the time of his trip, the city was recommending that people. not gather in groups larger than 10. Twenty people attended his daughter’s wedding, eight guests and other family members went on vacation with him for the week.
The day before Adler left for Cabo he said during a media brief, “If you’re going out to a restaurant, go out with your family, the people who live in your household, not with family and friends outside your household and start to decrease those travels outside of your home that are not necessary.”
This is just another fine example of these liberal democrat politicians violating their own coronavirus restrictions.
At the time of Adler’s daughter’s wedding, the city of Austin was under Stage 3 which recommends people should avoid gatherings of more than 10 people.
Adler defended himself claiming he did not violate any rules.
“There was no recommendation for people not to travel during that period of time,” he said. “Someone could look at me and say, ‘He traveled.’ But what they could not say is that I traveled at a time when I was telling other people not to travel.”
Adler did not quarantine when he returned from his lavish international vacation nor did he take a coronavirus test just to make sure.
The head of the Texas restaurant association, Emily Williams Knight hammered Adler.
