Another One Bites The Dust: Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer Could Face Criminal Charges
Last year the media worshiped Democrat New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, California Governor Gavin Newsom, and Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer for their draconian COVID-19 restrictions. Now these governors are falling like dominos one by one for those policies. It turns out that former President Trump policy to reopen the country was right Gov. Newsom is being recalled, Gov. Cuomo is more than likely going to be impeached and news has broken that Gov. Whitmer could be facing criminal charges.
Whitmer followed the same nursing home policy that Gov. Cuomo and Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf enacted that caused a horrific amount of deaths.
Peter Lucido, a Macomb County, Michigan prosector told the local news station WXYZ that Whitmer could face criminal charges for the way she handled nursing homes and long term care facilities last year during the pandemic.
Lucido said that he is limited on his own investigation because of state HIPPAA laws and is asking the public for help. The states laws are preventing his office from obtaining necessary patient information and is asking the public to contact him.
Whitmer’s office slammed the county prosecutor claiming it is a partisan attack.
“The administration’s policies carefully tracked CDC guidance on nursing homes, and we prioritized testing of nursing home residents and staff to save lives,” the statement read. “Early in the pandemic, the state acted swiftly to create a network of regional hubs with isolation units and adequate PPE to prevent the spread of COVID-19 within a facility. In addition, we have offered 100 percent of nursing home resident priority access to the vaccine. Both the former head of AARP, as well as an independent U-M study, praised our work to save lives in nursing homes.”
Investigative journalist, Charlie LeDuff said that he is seeing the State of Michigan and has tried for months to get information on COVID-19 deaths related to nursing homes.
“You can’t get them. I’ve been asking for months,” he said.
Under Whitmer’s leadership the State of Michigan had the 5th highest per capita nursing home death rate in the nation due to the coronavirus.
It has also been discovered that Whitmer orchestrated a “secret payoff behind closed doors.”
Whitmer agreed to pay former state health department director Robert Gordon $155,506 in a separation deal that included a confidentiality agreement about the circumstances around his resignation.
According to the Detriot News, “the agreement is the clearest evidence yet that the split between Gordon, a central figure in the state’s response to COVID-19, and Whitmer was not amicable, and it shows the Democratic administration used taxpayer funds to ease his departure.”
Both Gordon and Whitmer pledged to not discuss the departure “in the interest of protecting deliberations among government officials.”
Whitmer is trying to hid something and it appears she used tax payer funds to do it.
This is the same drip drip that flooded New York Governor Cuomo. The only difference is that the Democrats have turned Cuomo’s scandal into an alleged sex scandal to draw attention away from his coronavirus policies. Their’s a reason why Whitmer wasn’t given a position in the Biden Administration.
