Another Republican Senator Starts To Align With Democrats
First, it was Republican Senator Ben Sasse, then Senator Mitt Romney condemning the President for requesting China to investigate the dealings of former Vice President Biden and his son saying it was “inappropriate.”
Now, Senator Susan Collins (R-ME) on Saturday also locked step with Sen. Romney calling the request from the President to investigate the Biden’s “completely inappropriate.”
“I thought the president made a big mistake by asking China to get involved in investigating a political opponent. … It’s completely inappropriate,” Collins told the Bangor Daily News. The Senator from Maine also said, “Should the articles of impeachment come to the Senate — and right now I’m going to guess that they will — I will be acting as a juror as I did in the Clinton impeachment trial.”
Earlier last week President Trump said, “China should start an investigation into the Biden’s because what happened in China is just about as bad as Ukraine.”
The President continued, “I would think that if they were honest about it, they would start a major investigation. Nobody has any doubt that they weren’t crooked; that was a crooked deal, 100 percent.”
Conllin’s attack on President Trump came only one day after Sen. Mitt Romney wrote on Twitter:
“When the only American citizen President Trump singles out for China’s investigation is his political opponent in the midst of the Democratic nomination process, it strains credulity to suggest that it is anything other than politically motivated. By all appearances, the President’s brazen and unprecedented appeal to China and to Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden is wrong and appalling.”

President Trump hit back at Romney saying, “I’m hearing that the Great People of Utah are considering their vote for their Pompous Senator, Mitt Romney, to be a big mistake. I agree! He is a fool who is playing right into the hands of the Do-Nothing Democrats! #IMPEACHMITTROMNEY“

Sen. Ben Sasse (R-NE) was the first Republican to speak out against the President saying, “Americans don’t look to the Chinese commies for the truth.”
Here comes the Rhinos on cue lining up and folding like a deck of cards…they have no backbone.
