Anti-ICE Protests Take Place In Oregon
A federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Portland, Oregon, was attacked late Saturday night following an anti-Trump demonstration branded as “No Kings.” The violent incident, which escalated into a full-scale riot, left at least four federal officers injured, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
Tricia McLaughlin, Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs at DHS, confirmed to the Daily Caller News Foundation that rioters hurled fireworks, smoke grenades, and rocks at federal officers guarding the building.
“Our heroic law enforcement have been able to secure the facility,” she stated, emphasizing the severity of the attack and the injuries sustained by personnel on the scene.
Federal and local authorities declared a riot shortly after chaos erupted in the vicinity of the ICE building. The confrontation marked a sharp escalation in anti-ICE sentiment that has been building for weeks, as enforcement operations expanded under directives from President Donald Trump.

In response, the president ordered the deployment of 700 U.S. Marines to assist National Guard forces already federalized and stationed in Los Angeles. This latest move follows ongoing unrest in multiple cities across the country, with similar anti-ICE actions reported beyond Portland’s borders.
McLaughlin delivered a pointed message to those participating in the unrest: “You will not stop us or slow us down. ICE and our federal law enforcement partners will continue to enforce the law. If you lay a hand on a law enforcement officer, you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
Resistance to ICE operations is not limited to the streets. Reports have emerged of judicial and municipal interference with federal immigration enforcement. In Milwaukee, a judge is accused of briefly aiding an illegal immigrant in avoiding ICE agents.
In Nashville, Democratic Mayor Freddie O’Connell reportedly disclosed the names of federal agents involved in local immigration enforcement actions, raising concerns about endangering their safety.
