BACKLASH! Employee Protest Over Mandates CRIPPLES Airline
Southwest airlines was crippled over the weekend after employees in Jacksonville, Florida walked off the job to protest the companies vaccine mandate.
The company is trying to blame their problems on the weather but employees told passengers in Chicago that there weren’t going to be any flights leaving Chicago on Saturday.
A statement from Southwest Airlines said the following:
“We experienced significant impact in the Florida airports yesterday evening after an FAA-imposed air traffic management program was implemented due to weather and resulted in a large number of cancellations. We are working hard behind the scenes to minimize challenges and fully recover the operation as we take care of displaced Crews and Customers as quickly as possible.”
However, several reports showed that there were mass sickouts that are going to continue over airlines imposing a vaccine mandate.

The FAA reported that they were no staffing shortages however, no one explained why air traffic was so gummed up. Social media users also posted images of the flight board, the only airline having issues was Southwest.
#SouthwestAirlines Strange how the ATC issues and weather are still only affecting your airline at MCO. Must be some crazy storms if they’re only targeting your planes 🤔 SW departures vs the general departure board pic.twitter.com/dYGtWK95DO

OAN reporter Jack Posobiec reported that Southwest workers were not showing to work and other airline crews are starting to join them in solidarity.

Reports in Chicago said that there were only two employees checking tickets for all of Southwest.
“It’s only two employees, they only have two people checking you in for luggage and tickets,” customer Kasena Jackson said.”We also heard inside that Southwest has had a walkout due to the COVID-19 vaccine mandate,” Kaminski said.
