Biden Administration Official Really Said This About the Border Crisis

How in the world did this guy do such political gymnastics to make this claim? The chief of Customs and Border Protection for the Biden Administration claimed in a recent interview that it is the Republican governors who are responsible for the chaos at the American borders. He says that they are incentivizing even more migrants to come to the United States.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has been one of the GOP governors busing migrants from the front lines of the border crisis to sanctuary cities like New York City and Washington, D.C.

CBP Commissioner Chris Magnus believes that busing migrants from red states to liberal cities is a “pull factor” that is causing more migrants to come to America. He is also a staunch critic of former President Donald Trump.

“It’s safe to say what’s going on is a pull factor, which is somewhat ironic given the criticism from some of these same governors involved in this about various pull factors that they claim already exist,” he told the Los Angeles Times.

Magnus declared that migrants are enticed to come to the United States when they hear that there are buses that will take them to cities where they will be given benefits and jobs.

He also went so far as to say that human traffickers tell migrants about the busing situation “to further manipulate and mislead migrants.”

The GOP knows that Biden’s lax immigration policies are enticing migrants to come to the U.S. They know that there is a good chance that, even if they are detained by immigration authorities, they will not be deported.

Gov. Abbott’s press secretary, Renae Eze, said about Magnus, “Instead of their hypocritical complaints about Texas providing much-needed relief to our overrun and overwhelmed border communities, the Biden administration needs to step up and do their jobs to secure the border — something they continue failing to do.”
