Biden Attack Backfires: Another Democrat Senator Crushes His Dreams Of Killing The Filibuster
Joe Biden’s attack on two moderate Democrat Senators just backfired and now his hopes just went up in smoke.
During a speech Biden attacked Manchin and Sinema after the January 6th commission vote failed in the Senate.
“I hear all the folks on TV saying why doesn’t Biden get this done. Well because Biden only has a majority of effectively four votes in the House, and a tie in Senate with two members of the Senate who vote more with my Republican friends,” Biden said.

The attack was not well received and Biden is already doing poorly with independants forcing Press Secretary Jen Psaki to try and to smooth things over. During a press briefing the media called Biden’s attack out showing that Manchin and Sinema usually vote with Biden 100% of the time.
Amazing. CNN’s Kaitlan Collins asks Jen Psaki to clarify whether President Biden’s comments on Manchin and Sinema should be seen as an attack and Psaki says it shouldn’t be seen that way at all.
Of course it was an slight against them. Give me a break. pic.twitter.com/RMwrSRts4Y

It appears that Sinema didn’t take very kindly to Biden’s attack and put together a great way to crush Biden’s dreams over ending the filibuster.
Standing next to Republican Senator John Cornyn (Texas) the media asked if she was going to “budge” on ending the filibuster.
She shook her head, smirked, and simply replied, “No.”
Q: “So you’re not going to budge on the filibuster?”

Then she doubled down.
Sinema on not voting on the Jan. 6 commission: “I had a personal family matter.”
On the filibuster: “To those who say we must make a choice between the filibuster and X, I say this is a false choice.” pic.twitter.com/9RbLRwfmU8

Sinema is no dummy, she’s from a purple state that is actively supporting an audit of the 2020 November election, she knows if she is the one that kills the filibuster her career in the Senate is over.
Sinema and Cornyn were in Tucson touring ICE facilities thanks to his border crisis and she is not up for re-election until 2024.
