Biden Continues Assault On State Rights, Uses Federal Judges To Thwart GOP Governors
The assault on private, state, and constitutional rights continues.
A US judge has decided that Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings can demand patrons show proof of vaccination.
US District Judge Kathleen Williams preliminary ruled that Norwegian may use a vaccine passport system and that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is jeopardizing public health.
“We are pleased that Judge Williams saw the facts, the law and the science as we did and granted the Company’s motion for preliminary injunction allowing us to operate cruises from Florida with 100% vaccinated guests and crew,” the company’s executive vice president Daniel S. Farkas said in the statement.
The judge has blocked DeSantis from enforcing his anti-vaccine passport law.
Another federal judge in Oklahoma has ordered the state to continue paying the supplemental $300 federal unemployment benefit that Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt discontinued. Stitt also has to cancel his program to incentivize people to get back to work. The Republican governor was offering a one time payment of $1,200 to anyone who returns to work.
Federal District Judge Anthony Bonner Jr. has ruled that Stitt may not withdraw from the federal program providing supplemental payments.
From The Hill:
Apart from the $300 supplemental payments, Bonner’s order also restored an extension on unemployment benefits beyond the 26-week cutoff; unemployment benefits to those who normally would not qualify, such as gig workers and self-employed individuals; and an additional $100 a week for those who earned at least $5,000 in self-employed income in the most recent taxable year.
Bonner prohibited the state from withdrawing from the program until he issues a final order or until the program expires in September, The Oklahoman reported. Bonner said that he will provide a more detailed order on Monday.
Federal judges and the Biden administration are now infringing on state rights to prop up the Biden administration.
Federal unemployment supplemental benefits are set to end in September.
We aren’t just seeing an attack on states rights, we are seeing a controlled collapse of the Biden economy. Biden is using an unconstitutional eviction moratorium and infringing on states rights to cushion the consequences of his actions.
America needs reject Biden policies and get back to Trumpenomics.
