Biden Is About to Break the Law with an Impeachable Act
At least one reporter is willing to call it as he sees it. Brandon Morse reported that President Joe Biden is “about to blatantly break the law to ‘cancel’ thousands of dollars of student loan debt accrued by some of the most privileged members of society.”
He also reports that nothing will actually be canceled, instead, the government will be out the massive amount of money and the burden will be passed on to others.
Let’s be clear on this, college-educated individuals who actually accrued the debt will be “forgiven,” while hundreds of millions of taxpayers who didn’t accrue the debt will have to pay for it.
According to CNN, the White House is going to announce on Wednesday the cancellation of up to $10,000 in student loan debt for borrowers who make less than $125,000 a year.
Morse said, “It’s a disgusting, immoral move to tell a janitor making $40,000 a year that he must now foot the bill for college-educated Americans with far brighter employment prospects while receiving absolutely nothing in return.”
The biggest issue being raised by reports like this is that Biden’s action will be illegal. There is just no federal provision that allows the president to “forgive” student loan debt and place the burden on the backs of taxpayers.
Pelosi is on record saying the president doesn’t have this power. The Department of Education is on record saying the president doesn’t have this power.
So if Biden actually does this, it will be a deliberate action that breaks the law and it will be an impeachable offense.
The remaining question will be what will the GOP do about this?
Morse writes, “The coming Republican House (and possibly, Senate) must move to hold Biden accountable. That should come in the form of making the treasury account for the “canceled” debt and burning the university system to the ground via taxes and investigations. The GOP can’t stop there, though. They must impeach Joe Biden.”
Will the Right do what is right?
