Biden Preps To Ban 50% Of All Gas Stoves
The Biden Administration’s latest proposed regulation on cooking appliances is set to make major changes to the gas stove industry, with estimates that the proposed rule will potentially eliminate half of all current gas stove models from the market. The proposal is causing a major uproar among Republicans, with Senator Steve Daines (R–Mont.) calling it “ridiculous” and Senator Joe Manchin (D–WV) warning the Administration against removing gas stoves from homes.
The Department of Energy’s (DOE) proposed rule aims to reduce energy usage from cooking appliances by setting an efficiency standard of 1,204 thousand British thermal units (kBtu) of energy use annually. This will be done by preserving some market share for gas stoves with at least one high–input rate burner and continuous cast iron grates, two features that DOE has determined are priorities for the public.
While the Left tried to lie about their desires to ban the gas stove in America, they’re doing just that! https://t.co/okOrvY4Eil

According to the DOE’s analysis, the proposed standard would ensure that products with at least one HIR burner and continuous grates can continue to be available on the market. However, the DOE’s estimate of 50% compliance is causing confusion and indignation among industry groups and Republican lawmakers. Senator Daines has also called for DOE to brief members of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee before the comment period on the rule closes in early April.
The current gas stove market includes 40% of models without the HIR and continuous grate features and 10% with them, which would both comply with the proposed regulation. This would bring current compliance with the proposal to roughly half, leaving the other half unable to be purchased in stores.
Proponents of the regulation say it’s in line with DOE’s obligations under the law and will lead to big reductions in carbon dioxide, methane, sulfur dioxide, and nitrogen oxides. Republicans, however, are viewing the regulation as part of the Administration’s “war on natural gas.” The Administration’s Consumer Product Safety Commission has also suggested a ban on gas stoves.
Biden now wants to BAN GAS STOVES but he will only ban YOUR gas stove. The White House will still have gas stoves. Biden's mansion in Delaware will still have gas stoves. The left always pushes "rules for thee but not for me!" pic.twitter.com/r46T91gVdm

The proposed rule is now receiving comments from the public, and Republicans are pushing for DOE to make changes to the rule before its finalization. The outcome of this regulation will have a major impact on the gas stove industry and the American public.
