Biden Takes More Heavy Political Loses, Establishment Undercuts Joe, ‘There Should Be Accountability’
The Washington DC establishment is starting to turn on Joe Biden and over the weekend they sent out two former Obama officials to lay down the law.
During an appearance on ABC’s “This Week” former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mike Mullen hammered the Biden administration over their handling of Afghanistan and the horrific drone strike.
Mullen said there should “absolutely” be accountability.
“This was obviously an incredibly complex, fast-moving situation. We lost those 13 military members a couple of days before that,” Mullen said. “There was clear intelligence that additional strikes were on the way, so it was in that environment in which this strike actually took place.”
It wasn’t just Mullen that came out to whack the Biden Administration, former FDA head Scott Gottlieb was trotted out for the second week in a row to subtly attack Biden’s COVID policies. Gottlieb’s interview on CBS “Face The Nation” seemed to undercut the Biden administration and health officials like Fauci.
Gottlieb ripped public health officials and the federal government.
“There was a perception early on in this crisis that the CDC has this, that they would have the capacity to develop a diagnostic test and deploy it and gather the data that we would need and do the analytics to try to gauge, you know, sort of scope out what the contours of the response would be, and they would be able to deploy the diagnostic test and deploy the vaccine and stand up this infrastructure,” Gottlieb said. “They’re not a logistical organization. CDC has a very retrospective mindset. It’s a high-science organization that does deep analytical analysis of data that’s oftentimes out of sync to when the decisions need to get made. They’re not- they’re not the JSOC, they’re not the Joint Special Operations Command. They don’t surface real time information to- to inform current policy making.”

Gottlieb said that “The public health establishment as a whole has taken a hit in the setting of this pandemic, and this isn’t just a sort of Republican, Democrat, conservative, liberal thing.”

When asked if the outcome of the pandemic would have been better if Trump wasn’t in office Gottlieb had an interesting response. Of course, he said all the usual (typical now) “orange man bad” excuses but then slammed health officials in Washington.
“There were fundamental weaknesses with our response that regardless of who is in power, we had an ill prepared bureaucracy,” Gottlieb.
In other words the Fauci’s, Osterholm’s, and Birx’s of the world did have the systems in place to help the country regardless of who was in the White House.

This is now the second week in a row a former Obama official has undercut Biden.
