Biden Tries To Change History And Attempts To Blame Major Obama Blunder On Former President Bush
Biden is feeling the heat and just one day after he threw his son under the bus a new interview published on Monday reports, he’s trying to change history.
During an interview with the Wall Street Journal, the Democrat Presidential candidate former Vice President Joe Biden claims the 2011 withdrawal of troops in Iraq was a mistake but, it wasn’t Obama’s fault. Biden said:
“Well, it was a mistake in the sense that, the president asked me to draw down 150,000 combat troops, and I was in charge of that. And I pled with the Iraqi government to allow a residual force to stay so we could stay focused on, then, al Qaeda, before ISIS. But President Bush had made a deal with the Iraqis that all the forces would be out. We could not get the votes in the parliament to change it, so that we would be able to, with permission, stay in the region.”
That is a load of crap and that withdrawal caused what we now know to be ISIS. Congressional leaders on both sides of the aisle were asking Obama not to withdraw in the manner that he did. By now we all know the cost, it created ISIS and thousands of people were massacred.
This attempt to change history is no doubt the result of Biden’s campaign fizzling out and the news that he is struggling in the polls. Over the weekend Biden even attempted to create space between he and his son.
During an interview with the PBS News Hour which Biden claimed that he will not have any of his children “involved” with foreign countries if he wins the White House. Biden was asked what he knew about his sons roll in Ukraine and said this:
“I didn’t know he was on the board of that company. And, in fact, no one has asserted on the board that it illegal for him to be on the board or he did anything wrong.”
The former vice president’s claim to not know what his son was up to contradicts a lot of reports. Even Hunter Biden admitted in June that he had discussed his foreign business interest with his dad Joe Biden.
“Dad said, ‘I hope you know what you are doing,’ and I said, ‘I do’” Hunter Biden told The New Yorker Magazine. Breitbart News Reports:
As Peter Schweizer, a senior contributor at Breitbart News, detailed in his book, Secret Empires: How the American Political Class Hides Corruption and Enriches Family and Friends, Hunter Biden had no prior experience with either the energy industry or Ukraine before joining Burisma in April 2014. In fact, his background in investment banking, lobbying, and hedge fund management paled in comparison to that of current and past members of the company’s board of directors.
Biden may be claiming his son hasn’t done anything wrong but this is the first time that Joe has started to separate himself from his son’s activity denying he had any knowledge of his son’s position in Ukraine. Also, now that questions are starting to arise over some of the decisions he made with Obama in Iraq it’s pretty obvious, somebody is getting nervous.
