Biden’s Presidency Just Hit Another Record…Maybe We Should All Be Glad

President Joe Biden is racking up the records in his first term, but nobody is celebrating. He’s been at the helm of the country to see the highest gas prices there have ever been. He holds the record for plunging the country into a 40-year-high with inflation.

And the president just hit another record, and this one shows just how empty Biden’s office has been…literally.

Joe has had more vacation time than any of his immediate predecessors at this point in their terms. 

Here is how the summer has been for the president, he came down with COVID on July 21 and spent the next 13 days in isolation. As soon as he got two negative tests, the station wagon was packed up and the family high-tailed it to Delaware for so R&R.

Then on August 10, the Bidens left for their next vacation and stayed at the $20 million mansion of a Democratic donor on Kiawah Island in South Carolina. This vacation lasted a week and then Biden returned to D.C. to sign the misnamed Inflation Reduction Act. That same night, the wagon was packed again and the Bidens went back to Delaware. It’s tiring signing those massive spending bills. 

He will come back on Wednesday of this week for a DNC event, but he won’t unpack, because then he will leave right away for some more R&R in Delaware for the weekend. 

Biden has spent more than 150 days in Delaware according to Mark Knoller, a journalist keeping track. 

Biden has also been to Camp David 18 times. According to a GOP count, he has spent more than 200 days on vacation, that’s 35% of his term so far. 

I wonder how that sits with many Americans who have had to put off their summer vacations because of the price of Biden’s gas?

“How out-of-touch can Joe Biden get? Biden is spending nearly all of August on vacation while Americans are forced to cancel their summer travel because of historic inflation, high gas prices, and a recession. Biden should stop jet-setting from beach to beach and focus on fixing the crises he created,” RNC spokeswoman Emma Vaughn said in a statement on Saturday.

Maybe we should all be glad…what would the country look like if Biden did even more?
