‘Black Lives Matter’ Plaza In DC Is Getting A Makeover Because It Makes Biden Look Bad
On June 9th, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser named a portion of 16th Street, NW Black Lives Matter Plaza after she ordered the Department of Public Works to paint the words “Black Lives Matter.” The 35 foot long mural in yellow capital letters was meant to thumb its nose at President Donald Trump who was trying to quell the violence from the George Floyd riots.

Shortly after the mural went up activists added to the mural painting “Defund the Police” also in large capital letters. The mayor even had public works employees refresh the paint on the new addition to the mural.
However, as the weeks have gone on Americans have shunned the defund the police movement to the point where it is hurting Democrats in the polls.
Now Mayor Muriel Bowser has ordered that construction crews pave over the “defund the police” mural at Black Lives Matter Plaza.

The mural was originally painted by Bowser because she was upset President Trump was using the National Guard to quell the violence in the city.
NBC News reported:
The painting of the phrase Black Lives Matter came as Bowser shared a letter addressed to Trump from Thursday in which she requested that he withdraw “all extraordinary federal law enforcement and military presence from Washington, D.C.” now that she has ended the state of emergency for the city and the Metropolitan Police Department didn’t make any arrests on Wednesday night.
The National Guard did a fantastic job ending the riots and a few days later the city was peaceful, no thanks to Mayor Bowser.
