Bolton Comes Clean Admits It Was All A Game
Bolton decided to come clean and admits his last-minute impeachment leak was just a game.
Former National Security Advisor John Bolton admitted on Wednesday that his “leak” during the Trump impeachment trial was just a publicity stunt to push book sales.
“People can argue about what I should have said and what I should have done,” Bolton said at Vanderbilt University Wednesday night during a forum with his predecessor Susan Rice, according to ABC News. “I will bet you a dollar right here and now my testimony would have made no difference to the ultimate outcome.”
I find some humor in the fact that Bolton, who is a liar, is being interviewed by Susan Rice, who is also a liar.
Bolton adds his little publicity stunt doesn’t bother him one bit, “I sleep at night because I have followed my conscience.”
Rice attacked Bolton for remaining silent throughout the impeachment process Rice said, “It’s inconceivable to me that if I had firsthand knowledge of a gross abuse of presidential power, that I would withhold my testimony,” Rice said. “I would feel like I was shamefully violating my oath that I took to support and defend the Constitution.”
Says the same women that lied about a video.
Bolton counter-argued that the House engaged in “impeachment malpractice” over how they handled the inquiry.
“The process drove Republicans who might have voted for impeachment away from the president because it was so partisan,” Bolton claimed.
Earlier this week Bolton remained refused to say anything about his stunt during the impeachment trial in the Senate and shamelessly pushed his book.
During an appearance at Duke University Bolton did bring up his time at the White House but, did not disclose many details. Instead, he hyped his book by telling the audience, “You’ll love chapter 14,” and that he hopes his memoir is not “suppressed” under the Trump administration’s “censorship.”
Bolton’s book, titled, “The Room Where It Happened: A White House Memoir,” is still being examined by the White House, last month the National Security Council informed Bolton’s attorney that his manuscript “appears to contain significant amounts of classified information that must be removed.”
So it was just a game, just for that, the White House should kill his book. I wonder how this is going to play for little Jerry Nadler who’s hoping to have him testify before the House.
