Brian Stelter Had Not So “Reliable Sources”…He’s Gone from CNN
Controversies continue to hang over CNN like a dark cloud. The latest is the cancelation of both Brian Stelter and his low-rated show “Reliable Sources.”

“It was a rare privilege to lead a weekly show focused on the press at a time when it has never been more consequential,” Stelter told NPR. He plans to reveal more information on his last show on Sunday.
CNN could have just canceled the show and kept Stelter, but they decided to can both. His show had its lowest ratings recently since it started in 2019.
“Stelter came to CNN from the New York Times as the nation’s top media reporter. He departs CNN an impeccable broadcaster,” CNN’s executive vice president for talent and content development, Amy Entelis, told NPR. “We are proud of what Brian and his team accomplished over the years, and we’re confident their impact and influence will long outlive the show.”
But it was in June that Breitbart News reported that CNN’s new chief, Chris Licht, was preparing to “boot on-air personalities who have destroyed the brand by becoming irredeemable partisan hacks.” Thus the Stelter decision.
The shaky ground at CNN comes after the former president of CNN, Jeff Zucker, left the network in February. He was being questioned about his relationship with longtime CNN executive Allison Gollust as part of the broader Andrew Cuomo investigation.
It was confirmed to Breitbart News in March by a former CNN employee that Stelter was “freaking out” about Zucker’s exit.
Stelter is known for his false narratives on his show. He claimed that Hunter Biden’s laptop was “Russian disinformation.” But it was verified as authentic in the fall of 2020.
In May, the repairman for Hunter’s laptop, Mac Isaac, told the New York Post that he was suing CNN for their “false statements.”
“CNN’s broadcast of the false statement accuses the Plaintiff of committing an infamous crime, i.e., treason by working with the Russians to commit a crime against the United States of America by attempting to undermine American democracy and the 2020 Presidential election.”
So it seems that Stelter did not have “Reliable Sources” after all.
So I guess @brianstelter will be covering the NYT/Hunter scandal on his media show this weekend. Looking forward to seeing the framing after this scorched earth @WendellHusebo lead on Breitbart. pic.twitter.com/cwh8HqyUqO
