Buttigieg Flat Out Embarrasses Biden – WATCH
The Biden administration has failed to respond to the February 3rd East Palestine, Ohio train derailment with the urgency and attention it deserves. Despite the ongoing environmental disaster, President Biden and his team have continued to pass the buck and make excuses for why the Commander–in–Chief has not visited the site himself.
Department of Transportation Secretary, Pete Buttigieg has been especially unhelpful in this regard, first claiming that there were too many white male construction workers involved in infrastructure work, to then trying to falsely blame former President Donald Trump for the incident, to the fact that he couldn’t even be bothered to visit East Palestine, Ohio until some 20 days after the fiery incident took place.
Biden has also failed to take responsibility, instead making excuses for why he hasn’t visited the scene. His White House advisor and former Atlanta Mayor, Keisha Lance Bottoms offered the ridiculous explanation that traveling to the site would tie up too many resources and be “disruptive.” Similarly, Biden’s allies have argued that he has seen the photos and that he has handlers who can report back to him on what they saw.
Rep. Debbie Dingell (D–Mich.) said during a Fox News interview back in December that biden had officials who would be visiting and giving reports on what they saw making another really good example of making excuses as to why Biden has not been doing his job.
It is concerning that the President of the United States is so uninterested in the issues facing the people of East Palestine, Ohio. Biden has instead chosen to manage the situation almost exclusively through video conference calls, as he did during his 2020 campaign for president. This “manage by video” style of governing is not sufficient to address the needs of the people of East Palestine, Ohio, and is an insult to their intelligence.
