Carnage In New York: One Year Old Child Pays The Ultimate Price Thanks To DeBlasio’s Police Policy…Heartbreaking
New York City continues to march to become one of the most dangerous places in the country. Violence rocked the city all weekend and during a 15 hour period, 15 people were shot.
Tragically one of the victims of the violence was a one-year-old boy shot in his stroller as a group of people were having a barbecue.
Police believe that two men ambushed the group and fired more than 20 rounds, three other adults were wounded however, are expected to survive. Unfortunately, one year old, Dave Gardner Jr. was shot in the stomach sitting in his stroller and passed away at the hospital.

“Please put these guns down. We don’t need no more of this,” resident Tommy Holiday said. “When does this stop? Friday, my nephew was killed in East New York. Today, a 1-year-old baby. When does this stop? This is a shame, this is a 1-year-old baby seen no life yet.”
Community advocate Tony Herbert said that it’s time to put the NYPD’s Anti-Crime Unit – that was disbanded – back on the streets.
In an effort to change the way NYPD protects the city the unit was shut down however, the plain cloths unit was responsible for getting illegal guns off the street and crime suppression operations.
Advocates have targeted the group claiming it is corrupt.
“It has had a particularly problematic reputation among our clients and among the community for being hyper-aggressive about policing,” said Jennvine Wong of the Legal Aid Society. “I think we want to know where they’re going to be reassigned to and what that means.”
Supporters of the unit warned what would happen and it appears they were right since the unit ceased activity violent crime has gone through the roof.
The pathetic Mayor of New York, Bill de Blasio held a moment of silence on Monday.
“We’ve got to take resolve out of every situation like this. We can never give up,” he said. “We can never give up on our children, we can never give up on our families, we can never give up on our neighborhoods – no matter how tough it seems.”
“It means the whole community has to be involved,” he added. “It’s never just about police, it has to be community and police together.”
I’ve got one word for Mayor de Blasio, RESIGN.
