CIA Veteran Did Not Sign the Letter from Intelligence Officials on Hunter’s Laptop – Why? – Watch
In a recent interview, CIA veteran Dan Hoffman revealed why he did not sign the letter from former intelligence officials that claimed the laptop computer belonging to Hunter Biden was a Russian disinformation operation.
Hoffman said that he had serious concerns about the letter, which was signed by a number of former intelligence officials who had no direct knowledge of the laptop or its contents. He said that the letter was “full of unsubstantiated claims” and that it was “deeply irresponsible” for these officials to sign it without any evidence to support their claims.
“I remember I got the letter, October 18, 2020, and at first glance, it seemed natural to lay the blame at the Kremlin’s doorstep. Remember, Vladimir Putin is in the Kremlin and he’s well known for cloak-and-dagger espionage operations,” Hoffman said. “But at the same time, there was no evidence and the letter noted there was no evidence. And I just felt like
Hoffman also said that he was concerned about the timing of the letter, which was released just days before the 2020 presidential election. He said that it was clear that the letter was intended to damage Joe Biden’s campaign, and that it was “a clear example of how intelligence can be weaponized for political purposes.”
Hoffman’s comments come as the laptop computer has become a major issue in the Biden administration. The laptop contains a trove of emails and other documents that appear to show Hunter Biden engaging in corrupt business dealings while his father was vice president.
The Biden administration has repeatedly denied that the laptop is authentic, but the evidence suggests otherwise. In addition to the emails and other documents, the laptop also contains a copy of Hunter Biden’s passport, which shows that he traveled to Ukraine on numerous occasions while his father was vice president.
The Biden administration’s denials about the laptop have only served to further fuel suspicions that the administration is trying to cover something up. The American people deserve to know the truth about Hunter Biden’s business dealings, and the Biden administration should release the laptop to the public so that it can be independently investigated.
