CNN’s Chief Legal Analyst Is Hot Water After Exposing Himself On Camera
The haughty Jeffrey Toobin, who writes for The New Yorker, and is CNN’s top chief legal analyst is getting a timeout.
Sources say that during a Zoom call between members of the New Yorker and WNYC radio Toobin pulled out his penis.
In a statement to Motherboard Toobin said, “I made an embarrassingly stupid mistake, believing I was off-camera. I apologize to my wife, family, friends and co-workers.”
“I believed I was not visible on Zoom. I thought no one on the Zoom call could see me. I thought I had muted the Zoom video,” he added.
Natalie Raabe, New Yorker spokesperson said, “Jeffrey Toobin has been suspended while we investigate the matter.”
Toobin’s email has been disabled and he has not posted anything on Twitter since October 13. Toobin however, did make an appearance on CNN over the weekend. “Jeff Toobin has asked for some time off while he deals with a personal issue, which we have granted,” CNN said in a statement.
WNYC nor did any representative of Toobin’s respond to inquiries about the situation.
I have so many questions, like why? How? What would make a person whip it out during a work call?
We have to assume it was serious if he’s being suspended.
The comment, “I thought I’d muted the video” makes me think this wasn’t an accident and he may have been watching or looking at something else during the call.
Looks like the writer of “True Crimes and Misdemeanors: The Investigation of Donal Trump” is going on a break. Toobin was considered by NPR to have written the, “highest function is as a condensation of the best evidence against the presidency and character of Donald Trump, a summation offered up much as a prosecutor would do in seeking to sway a jury.”
You know what they say, “karma is a b***h.”
