Conservative Journalists Busts The ‘Biden Five’ And How They Made Millions Off Joe Biden’s Connections
Conservative Journalists and five-time top New York Times bestseller author Peter Schweizer has busted the Biden family in an upcoming book and shows how they made millions off of Joe Biden’s connections.
Politicians have long used their power and influence to help their families however, like Clinton’s Joe Biden “emerges as the king of the sweetheart deal.” Schweizer highlights five different Biden’s that have profited off the back of the former Vice President and how Biden used his influence to strike deals for his family members.
Biden said in 2019, “I never talked with my son or my brother or anyone else — even distant family — about their business interests. Period.”
That statement was a flat out lie.
James Biden
First up is his younger brother James who helped Biden early in his career in politics. James visits to the White House seem to occur around his overseas business deals.
Schweizer reports:
HillStone International, a subsidiary of the huge construction management firm, Hill International. The president of HillStone International was Kevin Justice, who grew up in Delaware and was a longtime Biden family friend. On November 4, 2010, according to White House visitors’ logs, Justice visited the White House and met with Biden adviser Michele Smith in the Office of the Vice President. Three weeks later, HillStone announced that James Biden would be joining the firm as an executive vice president. James appeared to have little or no background in housing construction.
Frank Biden
In March of 2009, then-Vice President Joe Biden traveled to Costa Rica on Air Force Two and met with Costa Rican President Oscar Arias. A few months after Biden’s trip Costa Rica News announced in August 2009 a partnership “to reform Real Estate in Latin America” between Frank Biden, developer Craig Williamson, and the Guanacaste Country Club. Schweizer details how the project ended up receiving $6.5 million in American taxpayer money. Schweizer also documents a deal involving Costa Rica, Frank Biden, and the US government and on one occasion secured a $47.5 million American taxpayer-funded loan for a solar power facility.
Valerie Biden Owens
Joe Biden’s sister Valerie has run all of his campaigns but, she was also a senior partner in a political messaging firm named Joe Slade White & Company; there are only two executives and Valerie is on of them. The firm just from his presidential run in 2008 received $2.5 million in consulting fees. The firm has “worked” for the Biden campaigns for over 18 years.
