Coronacommie: California Governor Newsom Decides Schools Are For Me Just Not For Thee
The Governor that tried to cancel Halloween, wants you to put your mask over your face between bites, and demands you wear a mask in your own home during your mandatory outside Thanksgiving dinner has decided it’s safe for his kids to go to school just not everyone else’s.
Yes, the rich, elite Governor of California is allowing his kids to attend a private school for in-person instruction. Meanwhile, the rest of the kids in his state that can’t afford to send their kids to pricy schools must learn at home online.
Newsom’s children attend a private school in Sacramento county that will return to full-time in-person class in November.
“They’re phasing back into school and we are phasing out of our very challenging distance learning that we’ve been doing, so many parents are doing up and down the state,” Newsom said
Most of the Sacramento area schools are all conducting remote learning.
Sacramento County schools are allowed to open classrooms under Newsom’s reopening system. But the county’s large public school districts — including San Juan Unified, which serves Newsom’s neighborhood — have yet to do so. Some Sacramento County districts plan to reopen elementary schools next month, while San Juan has a January goal date. Sacramento City Unified has yet to propose a reopening date.
Get this, Newsom said that he has $5.3 billion in sate and federal funding to help schools reopen as well as two months of PPE they just aren’t doing anything with yet.
How much do you want to bet come November 4th he’ll have a plan and release the funds?
Keep in mind this is the same Governor that allowed a winery that he founded to remain open while closing down restaurants. It just so happened that the Napa Valley wine area has stayed off the Governor’s “watch list.”
Viewers want to know why a winery founded by Gov. Gavin Newsom remains open even after he ordered many businesses to close their indoor operations in the state.
Newsom ordered closures in 19 counties, including Kern County, earlier this week. Those counties have been on the state’s watchlist for COVID-19.
In the 1990s, Gavin Newsom co-founded the Plumpjack Group which operates wineries in Napa. Plumpjack is open and accepting reservations for tastings.
The Plumpjack winery is open because Napa County isn’t on the state’s monitoring list. Counties on the list are those where the state is concerned about rising COVID-19 infections and hospital beds being filled with sick patients.
Newsom’s kids are going to school and his winery is open. Meanwhile, if you live anywhere else in California your kids must learn remotely and your restaurants must be shutdown.
