Coronacommies: State Bar Paves The Way For Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccinations Regardless Of ‘Religious Or…
It begins, the first step has been made to force people to receive the coronavirus vaccine.
The New York State Bar Association passed a resolution demanding the state to force New Yorkers to receive the Wuhan virus vaccine when it is available, regardless of “religious, philosophical or personal reasons.”
The measure was passed by the bar associations 277 member House of Delegates. The measure gives the State Legislator the thumbs up to pass a bill requiring mandatory vaccination.
In a statement, Mary Beth Morrissey, chair of the bar association’s Health Law Section’s Task Force on COVID-19, said that the resolution proves, “The authority of the state to respond to a public health crisis is well-established in constitutional law,”
“In balancing the protection of the public’s health and civil liberties, the Public Health Law recognizes that a person’s health can and does affect others.”
The vote to pass the resolution in New York is significant, the New York bar association is one of the largest in the nation with over 70,000 members.
In an era where liberals are trying to defund the police the New York Bar Association believes the New York State Police have the authority to arrest people who refuse to be vaccinated.
The New York Law Journal cites a report issued in May that laid the groundwork for the resolution:
On pages 60-63 of the report, which focused the “unique” legal and ethical issues brought forward by the coronavirus pandemic, the Health Law Section cited case law to back up its recommendation.
“Mandatory vaccinations are supported by the authority of the state police power when the vaccinations are necessary to protect the health of the community,” the group wrote in the report, while citing the landmark 1905 U.S. Supreme Court decision Jacobson v. Massachusetts.
In June the Health Law Section doubled down on their recommendation that their report “rests on the body of well-established law.”
With the resolution passed this now gives Governor Cuomo and State Legislators the thumbs up to force people to receive the coronavirus vaccine once it’s available in New York.
