Democrats Launch New Criminal Investigation Into Trump After False Statements Cause Chaos During Senate Trial
Democrats are suffering from post traumatic Trump syndrome.
More than likely former President Trump is going to be acquitted and Democrats are hell bent on taking Trump down. We are entering very dangerous territory, the law is being used against different political factions to prevent them from running or holding power.
Newly elected Democrat District Attorney of Fulton County, Georgia, Fani Willis announced a new criminal investigation that will examine if then-President Trump violated state law, including “the solicitation of election fraud, the making of false statements to state and local governmental bodies, conspiracy, racketeering, violation of oath of office and any involvement in violence or threats related to the election’s administration.”
Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger has already launched a probe into Trump’s behavior including the phone call he leaked to the Washington Post. It should be noted that the entire phone was released and you can bet if anything actually criminal occurred charges would have already been filed weeks ago.
Willis is ordering that State Officials procure any documents they collect from their investigation.
However, there is a question of jurisdiction, Willis does not have jurisdiction over Georgia election laws, Raffensperger office does. After the probe, investigators will report their findings to the Georgia election board and they would decide if anything criminal occurred, then the state (not Willis) would file charges.
The announcement comes as Democrats launch the second impeachment trial of Donal Trump who is now a private citizen which fell into chaos after House managers made false claims.
The whole preceding has been a joke, it got so crazy during the second day that for a moment the cameras had to be turned off because House impeachment managers falsely implicated Senator Mike Lee. When Lee protested and demanded House managers statement be stricken from the record Senator Leahy (who’s presiding over the trial because Chief Justice Roberts refuses) made an unclear ruling. Lee was incensed and again protested the false claims made by House managers. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer stepped in had the cameras shut down so they could “work this out.”
.@SenMikeLee says statements made by House Impeachment Managers regarding phone call involving President Trump and Senator Tuberville “were not made by be, they’re not accurate, and they’re contrary to fact. I move…that they be stricken from the record.”

When the cameras came back on, House Democrats reluctantly struck the statement from the record but wouldn’t let it go.
“The impeachment manager Mr. Cicilline correctly and accurately quoted a newspaper account which the distinguished senator has taken objection to, so we’re happy to withdraw it,” Raskin said.
“It’s not true,” Lee shouted, speaking over Raskin.
Raskin continued explaining why the House impeachment managers were willing to withdraw the comments attributed to Lee. a withdrawal he said was “on the grounds it is not true.”
“We’re going to withdraw it this evening without any prejudice about the ability to resubmit it if possible and then we can debate it if needed,” Raskin continued, adding as Lee shouted over him: “This is much ado about nothing because it is not in any way critical to our case.”
As Raskin walked away from the podium, Lee shouted back at him: “Well, you’re not being cited as a witness, sir!”
Schumer jumped back in and recessed the impeachment trial for the day hoping that both sides would cool down.
