Democrats Throw A Temper Tantrum After Trump Puts Pelosi In Her Place At White House Meeting
President Trump didn’t hold back in a meeting at the White House with Democrats and Republicans on Wednesday and it got so heated that Pelosi and the Democrat leadership melted down. The Democrats went to the White House thinking they were going to boss the PResident around and they ended up getting shown the door.
On Wednesday the White House invited leadership from both parties of Congress to discuss Trump’s decision to pull US troops out of Syria.
The withdrawal of troops allowed Turkey to invade sections of Syrian Kurdish held areas and the move has been criticized by members of Congress and the Senate from both parties. Before the meeting, the House passed a resolution 354-60 that rebuked the President decision to pull troops out of Syria.
Pelosi tried to argue with Trump saying the House voted against him and Trump put her in her place and called her a “third rate politician.” Democrats claim the President’s actions were insulting. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said, “She kept her cool completely, but he called her a third-rate politician. He said that there are communists involved and you guys might like that. I mean, this was not a dialogue. It was sort of a diatribe, a nasty diatribe,” Schumer said.”
However, even House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) alluded that the President was just responding to Pelosi. “This crisis required a rational, reasonable discussion between those of us who have been elected by the American people to set policy,” Hoyer said. “Unfortunately, the meeting deteriorated.”
Hoyer isn’t going to blame people in his own party but he didn’t blame the President outright either meaning Pelosi got what was coming to her.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Cal) and Rep. Michael McCaul both spoke with the press after the meeting and said that Pelosi’s behavior was “unbecoming” and criticized her temper tantrum when she “stormed out.”
After Pelosi stormed out the rest of the Democrats were so incensed that they were challenged by President Trump they left as well.
McCarthy and McCaul also said that there is a plan in Syria and that the US is going to maintain a “residual force.”
Schumer did get the answers to the questions he had saying the Defense Secretary showed intelligence that the Turks and Syrians have the same interests as the Kurds in keeping ISIS at bay. Schumer said, “I said, is there any intelligence evidence that the Turks and the Syrians will have the same interest that the Kurds or we did in guarding ISIS? And the secretary of Defense was, thank god he was honest.”
Despite Schumer getting the answers he wanted he still wants the Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to condemn the President.
“We urge Leader McConnell to not just condemn the president, but put this resolution on the floor,” Schumer said. “The safety of America, the safety of the Kurds are in the hands of one person, President Trump, and the best way to pressure him is a strong, bipartisan resolution.”
I gotta say this President Trump, has done a great job in Syria and getting ISIS under control after the mess Obama left him. I trust him over anyone in Congress.
You can watch the cry-babies here oh and Chuck, Pelosi is insulting and we are ok with President Trump putting you Democrats in line and that is what your little temper tantrum is all about.
With that said, does anyone remember the Democrats being this upset when Former President Obama abandoned the people of northern Iraq?
