Another Big Shift In Gun Control Debate Blindsides Democrats
Pelosi didn’t see this one coming.
A poll from the Washington Post has stunned Democrats. Over the last year there has been a sharp decrease in public supporter for strict gun control laws.
In April of 2018, 65% of those from age 18-29 said they were all for gun control laws, specifically “red flag” laws and limits on magazine capacity. However, just three years later that number dropped a full 20 points to only 45%.
From the Washington Post:
The preference for enacting new gun laws aimed at reducing firearm violence has dropped by 7 percent overall since the last corresponding survey was conducted in April 2018. Percentage drops were seen in nearly every demographic divide. In that time period, 20 percent of Hispanics pulled back from supporting new gun laws, falling to 50 percent. An increase in rural Americans also now say they want no new gun restrictions, down 17 points to 30 percent.
Rush Limbaugh always pointed out these types polls to remind us that this is the mainstream media telling their crazy liberal followers why they can’t pass sweeping legislation, because if they do, they’ll lose power for a decade.
After experiencing the pandemic and the summer riots Americans are protecting themselves. Many Americans in areas that are defunding the police are left with no choice and are looking for safe ways to protect their families.
Plus, just look at the situation below, the police and the citifies stupid mayor are doing nothing to protect the citizens in their own city.
“You f—ed w/the wrong people!” “Stop that car!”
At the armed #BLM march this afternoon in north Portland that intimidated a residential area, the extremists smashed up an occupied car on the road. Attacks on drivers by rioters is commonplace in Portland. pic.twitter.com/WZVralIFMq
