Developing: Recent Scoop From AG Barr About Ukraine Investigation Has Nadler Sweating Bullets
Catherine Herridge who used to work at Fox News has found a home at CBS but that hasn’t stopped her from covering stories and she just got a big scoop from the Department of Justice.
Recently, Rudy Giuliani was clamoring that he has information that would destroy former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden. But, there is a lot more going on than just the Biden’s, Barr is looking to blow the lid off corruption in Ukraine.
CBS News reports:
Justice Department officials have been “quietly” reviewing records and documents from Ukraine for “several weeks,” a source familiar with the matter tells CBS News.
The source said staff outside of Main Justice in Washington have been assigned by Attorney General William Barr to review the Ukraine matter, adding that the review is being handled by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Pittsburgh and is separate from U.S. Attorney John Durham’s probe into the origins of the FBI’s Russia probe.
The new review includes some material provided by Rudy Giuliani, the president’s personal attorney, but goes beyond matters regarding former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter, who served on the board of a Ukrainian energy company.
Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said on Sunday that Barr received information from Guiliani on Ukraine and Barr confirmed it on Monday stating that anyone can give information.
On Monday, Barr said the Justice Department had “an open door to anybody who wishes to provide us information that they think is relevant” and had established an “intake process in the field” for receiving and verifying material from Ukraine. He said any information from Giuliani or others would be “carefully scrutinized by the department and its intelligence community partners so that we could assess its provenance and its credibility.”
Barr was very clear that all information received from Ukraine will go through a vetting process because there are a lot of “agendas” there.
House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler flipped out when he heard Barr’s remarks and wrote Barr a letter. Nadler is claiming the DOJ is targeting political opponents, which is ironic considering that is what Obama did to Trump.
Considering that Barr is going deeper than just the Biden’s makes one wonder just what is Nadler so worried about. But, I would imagine that Nadler isn’t the only one worried. Senator Romeny’s foreign relations advisor was on the Burisma board during the 2012 campaign with Hunter Biden.
