Dr. Fauci Blasts The Media’s Attempt To Put A Divide Between Him And President Trump
Dr. Fauci has had enough of Washington DC journalists trying to put a rift between himself and President Trump and on Tuesday he struck back.
On Monday, Axios started a rumor and it was pushed by Congressman Ted Leui claiming despite there being no evidence of this that senior officials in the Trump Administration are losing patience with the doctor’s orders. They wrote, “At the end of the 15-day period, there will likely be a serious clash between the public health experts — who will almost certainly favor a longer period of nationwide social distancing and quarantining — versus the president and his economic and political aides, who are anxious to restart the economy.”
Hinting that the President is not listening to experts like Dr. Fauci and he would put the economy over the American people. Throughout the rest of the day, the media flooded the newswire claiming that there was a rift between Fauci and the President.
On Tuesday, Fauci appeared on WMAL’s “Morning on the Mall” and he blasted the DC media.
VINCE COGLIANESE: It seems like increasingly a bunch of questions from the media are designed to create a rift between you and the President of the United States, at least, to emphasize differences of opinion that creates distances between you and the president. Are you sensing that as the media continually asks you questions about the differences you have with him?
DR. ANTHONY FAUCI: That is really unfortunate. I would wish that would stop because we have a much bigger problem here than trying to point out differences. They really, fundamentally, at the core when you look at it, there are not differences. The president has listened to what I’ve said with the other people on the task force have said. When I’ve made recommendations, he’s taken them. He’s never countered and overridden me. The idea of pitting one against the other is just not helpful and I’d wish that would stop so we can look ahead at the challenge we have together to get over this thing.
Dr. Fauci has been around a long time and even though at times we are concerned about when or if he will turn on the President, to date even when he disagrees he stands behind the President. Dr. Fauci is will to do something the media and the Democrats refuse, to come together and fight this thing regardless of our differences. I also believe Dr. Fauci is getting an education into just how vile the DC press core is. Unfortunately, what’s next if the media can’t corrupt him is that they will begin to attack him.
