Energy Secretary Grandholm’s Stock Portfolio Betrays Her After She Demands Americans Buy Electric Vehicles
A stock portfolio has betrayed President Biden’s Energy Secretary Jennifer Grandholm after she called on all Americans to buy electric vehicles.
Grandholm – who laughed about rising prices in December of 2021 – recently said life would be easier if Americans just bought electric cars.
“If you filled up your EV [electric vehicle] and you filled up your gas tank with gasoline, you would save $60 per fill-up by going electric rather than using gasoline but it’s a very compelling case, but again, we want to bring down the price at the point of purchase,” Grandholm said.
Grandholm has said several times, “if you drive an electric car, this[gas prices] would not be affecting you.”
According to Forbes, Granholm is worth about $8 million and recently served as director of an electric car company holding millions in the firm’s stock.
In May of 2022, Granholm exercised stock options in the company, putting another $1.6 million in her bank account.

According to the Kelley Blue Book, an electric vehicle costs around $56,437. Meanwhile, the average household income of residents in Granholm’s home state of Michigan is $59,234.
We have an Energy Secretary who scoffs at oil and then pockets $1.6 million in stock options from an electric car company she was part of. If that’s not the most crooked Washington DC thing ever, I don’t know what is.
As prices continue to rise, Biden is being called on to unleash the power of the free markets and remove his Executive Orders on the industry.
Kevin O’Leary: Biden must “reverse the mistake[s]” he’s made on energy policy, such as stopping Keystone XL and restricting oil and gas leases.

Instead, Joe sent them a nasty letter.
President Biden writes to oil executives complaining (!!!) the industry shut down too much refining capacity:
