FBI Lawyer At Center Of FISA Abuse Investigation Text Messages Will Make Your Blood Boil, ‘I Have Initiated The Destruction Of The…”
Last week we all learned that the DOJ Inspector Generals investigation revealed that FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith altered documents used to support two FBI FISA court warrant applications. Inspector General Michael Horowitz has referred Clinesmith for criminal prosecution and in September he resigned from the FBI.
The media has minimized the role Clinesmith played however, it has been discovered that he was a member of the Hillary Clinton email investigation team. According to IG Horowitz Clinesmith played a large role spying on the Trump campaign and was the “primary FBI attorney assigned to the investigation at the beginning of 2017. He joined the Muller investigation but was dismissed in February 2018 when his anti-Trump text message had been revealed.
Below is an excerpt from the report from the IG and he was, as you’ll read, concerned about the text messages from FBI Attorney 2. On page 416, the report shows text messages Clinesmith sent on October 28, 2016, to several FBI colleagues he considered “friends.” What’s more significant is that they occurred just as the FBI submitted the first application to the FISA Court.
On November 9, 2016, the day after Hillary’s epic loss Clinesmith whines to another FBI employee who is not identified in the report. However, The Epoch Times identifies the other FBI employee as Sally Moyer who is a unit chief at the Office of General Counsel. They are both depressed about Clinton’s loss. Clinesmith writes, “I am so stressed about what I could have done differently.” You gotta wonder, like what? Alter more documents?
The altered documents that were sent by Clinesmith to the FISA court were to renew the Carter Page warrant. The New York Times claims that Clinesmith’s decision was a no factor but given their track record I’m going to wait until the December 9th report is released.
A couple of observations:
First, who the hell uses a work phone to tell another co-worker you may have brought “the end of the Republic,” when you are a government employee. They are so comfortable in their corruption using a work phone doesn’t even phase them.
Second, you gotta wonder how many other alterations were done by people inside the FBI smart enough not to use their phone to go after President Trump.
