Intel Report Shows FBI & Two Other Agencies Knew About Planned Unrest At Capitol & Ignored Intel (VIDEO)
The FBI has some explaining to do, a new report shows that the FBI had credible intelligence of planned unrest at the Capitol building.
A day before the unrest occurred at the Capitol building an FBI field office in Virginia intercepted an online discussion calling for planned violence.
“As of 5 January 2021, FBI Norfolk received information indicating calls for violence in response to ‘unlawful lockdowns’ to begin on 6 January 2021 in Washington, D.C.,” the document says. “An online thread discussed specific calls for violence to include stating ‘Be ready to fight. Congress needs to hear glass breaking, doors being kicked in, and blood from their BLM and Pantifa slave soldiers being spilled. Get violent. Stop calling this a march, or rally, or a protest. Go there ready for war. We get our President or we die. NOTHING else will achieve this goal.”
Pantifa is a slang word used to describe Antifa.
The report contradicts what FBI Washington Field Office leader, Steven D’Antuono told reporters last week. Antuono said “there was no indication” that any violence was planned and that they “worked diligently with our partners on this.”
After learning about the report the Washington Post asked Steven Sund, who resigned as Capitol Police chief if he ever received the intelligence from the FBI of planned unrest.
“I did not have that information, nor was that information taken into consideration in our security planning,” Sund said.
According to Stars and Stripes, some of the intelligence gathered by the FBI Virginia field office showed bad actors had floor plans, planned rally points, meeting places, leaders, and signals. The FBI field office in Virginia in under an hour wrote the report and shared it within the bureau. It is not known if the FBI shared that information outside of the agency but according to statements from Capitol police it never got to them.
One FBI official spoke with the Washington Post on the “condition of anonymity to avoid disciplinary action” said that the failure wasn’t in not gathering the intelligence it was a failure to act on the intelligence.
If the FBI had intelligence before January 6th not only are they responsible for not alert other agencies, the reason for President Trump being impeached was a shame. Democrat’s claimed that President Trump’s speech incited the violence and there’s more the FBI, New York City Police, & The Capitol Police had prior knowledge of plans for violence including the murder of police officers.
