Fox News Reporter Fact-Checks Biden’s Lies–Jean Pierre Shuts Down Briefing – Watch

Fox News reporter Jacqui Heinrich called out Biden and his administration on the number of lies they are telling about the economy at a Monday press conference. 

In this countdown to the midterms, Biden has claimed over and over again that his policies have resulted in record deficit reduction and a record number of jobs created. 

But that is just not the truth. Deficit reduction and job creation are a result of the economy returning to pre-pandemic normalcy.

Biden has taken responsibility for creating 10 million jobs, but those jobs are directly related to people returning to the workforce, not newly created jobs. 

The truth is that today there are only a little over half a million more jobs than in February 2020, before the pandemic. 

Fox’s Heinrich pointed out the facts that Biden has not lowered the deficit nor has he created millions of jobs. And then she asked White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre why Americans should take Biden seriously.

“How are people supposed to take this kind of messaging, on their most important issue, seriously when some of this feels like smoke and mirrors?” she asked.

Jean-Pierre did not answer Heinrich’s question, which is becoming common at these briefings. Instead, she just started stumping for Biden and the Democrats. 

She claimed the American Rescue Plan “put us in a place where the economy turned back on” and attacked Republicans for opposing Biden’s inflationary agenda. Most agree that this “rescue” plan just overheated the economy.

And then Jean-Pierre declared that despite the CBO’s contrary explanation, Biden is responsible for deficit reduction. 

“None of his programs have actually reduced the deficit,” Heinrich fact-checked. “It just happened on its own.”

“What is one thing [Biden] did that reduced the deficit?” Heinrich pressed.

Jean-Pierre abruptly shut down Heinrich’s questioning and moved on to the next reporter.
