Go Woke Go Broke: The Numbers Are In Activists Athlete Caused Devastating Losses To Nationwide Franchise
In August of 2021, we reported that USA women’s soccer player Megan Rapinoe was giving the nationwide franchise Subway fits.
After the woke soccer star knelt during the National Anthem to kick off the Olympics customers started to boycott.
We previously reported, at first, the response was mixed however, owners were worried about a boycott. A Wisconsin store operator recently shared a photo of a note a customer taped to his door and now they are nervous.
“Boycott Subway until Subway fires the anti-American … Megan Rapinoe, the creep who kneels for our beloved National Anthem!” the note reportedly said.
“The ad should be pulled and done with,” the franchisee noted regarding the Rapinoe spot, adding, “It gets tiring apologizing.”
Owners are worried that corporate executives would sink their investments. A West Coast franchisee told the New York Post they want the ad pulled and want the company to focus on the mom and pop owners.
Well, the big wigs did sink the investors.
In a follow-up report, the New York Post discovered that almost five percent of Subway’s footprint has disappeared after “1,043 more outlets across the US than it opened in 2021.”

Subway has been promoting new sandwiches including Turkey Cali Fresh and All-American Club in a big advertising campaign featuring sports stars Tom Brady and Steph Curry. The campaign, however, also drew complaints from franchisees last year over the hire of soccer star Megan Rapinoe, whose perceived anti-American views reportedly rubbed some customers the wrong way.
