GOP Governor Smacks Down MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow After She Published Fake COVID Stats
Things got spicy between South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem and MSNBC anchor Rachel Maddow.
The left-wing Russian conspiracy theorist attacked the governor over a funny video she posted hunting. The governor posted, “This is how we do social distancing in South Dakota.”
In the video, the South Dakota governor was bird hunting in a field and said, “less COVID, more hunting.”

That video really triggered Maddow and she thought she would smear the governor.
“South Dakota has just set new records in the number of people hospitalized, new cases, and overall active cases. With a 36% spike in COVID-19 hospitalizations in the last week, the state now has the highest per-capita rate of hospitalizations in the US,” Maddow posted.

Maddow’s stats were incorrect and the Republican governor fired back.
“Stop spreading fear. Only 8% of South Dakota’s hospital beds are occupied by COVID patients. We have and will continue to manage our resources to care for the people who need help. The people of South Dakota have accomplished this WITHOUT draconian lockdowns.”

Maddow followed up with a post from the South Dakota Department of Health that has shown a spike in cases but, whimpered out and didn’t tag the governor.
“We continue to track that number, which is why we aggressively ramped up our hospital capacity at the start of the pandemic,” Ian Fury, a spokesperson for Noem, told the Argus Leader.
“Today, we’re encouraged that only 8% of our hospital beds and 6% of our ICU beds are occupied by COVID patients,” he added.
