GOP Senator Demands Epstein Flight Log Release
Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn is urging the Senate Judiciary Committee to issue a subpoena for the flight logs of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. During a hearing focused on potential subpoenas related to a Supreme Court ethics probe, Blackburn emphasized the importance of identifying possible perpetrators involved in Epstein’s “horrific conduct.”
Blackburn expressed her concerns, stating, “Given the numerous allegations of human trafficking and abuse surrounding Mr. Epstein, we’ve got to identify everyone who could have participated in his horrific conduct.” She urged the committee to prioritize real issues and criticized Democratic efforts to target Supreme Court justices.
However, Blackburn’s proposal faced resistance from her Republican colleagues on the committee. Following the pushback, Chairman Dick Durbin halted the authorization of the Supreme Court subpoenas.
A spokesperson for Blackburn indicated that the senator plans to reintroduce the Epstein subpoena request during another committee hearing next week, where the Supreme Court probe subpoenas will be addressed again.
Epstein’s private plane, often referred to as “The Lolita Express,” allegedly transported underage girls to his private island and residences worldwide. The flight logs could potentially reveal individuals who were passengers on the plane, including prominent figures like former Presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump, Prince Andrew, Bill Gates, and others. It’s important to note that there is currently no evidence to suggest any criminal activity by those who flew on Epstein’s plane.
Jeffrey Epstein faced charges of sex trafficking and sex trafficking conspiracy in 2019, pleading not guilty in a New York court. He was accused of preying on dozens of victims as young as 14. Epstein was found dead in his Manhattan jail cell the following month, with his death ruled as a suicide. Prior to these charges, Epstein had pleaded guilty in Florida to charges related to soliciting and procuring a person under the age of 18 for prostitution.
