Gov. Noem: Time to Rally Behind Trump
The Iowa caucuses are just a month away, and South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem is calling on Republicans to unite behind President Donald Trump. In a tweet on Monday, Noem urged the GOP to focus their efforts and resources on defeating Democratic nominee Joe Biden.
The plea from Noem comes as the latest Des Moines Register/NBC News/Mediacom Iowa Poll shows Trump with a commanding lead in the Hawkeye State. According to the poll, Trump’s support has increased to 51 percent, up from 43 percent in October.
This increase in support for Trump comes despite the shrinking Republican primary field, with several candidates dropping out, including former Vice President Mike Pence, South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott, and North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum. Even after these departures, the remaining candidates have not been able to make a dent in Trump’s lead.

Noem, who initially endorsed Trump in September, called him “the fighter that our country needs” and pledged to do everything in her power to help him win.
She is not the only prominent figure to offer an endorsement to Trump in recent months. Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), who is leaving the House at the end of December, also threw his support behind Trump, stating that he believes Trump will win the nomination and the presidency in November. McCarthy also said he is open to serving in Trump’s cabinet if offered the position.
The Iowa caucuses are set to take place on February 3, followed by primary races in New Hampshire and South Carolina. Trump currently holds a double-digit lead in all three states, as well as nationally.
The results of the Iowa poll have been welcomed by Trump and his supporters, who have been touting the shrinking gap between the president and Biden as more candidates exit the race.
We were told that as the field shrinks, the polls would narrow. Well… the field has been shrinking, and support for President Trump has been growing, now sitting at over 50% (Up from 43% in Oct).
It’s time to unite behind President Trump and focus all our efforts and…

It is clear that Trump’s popularity among Republicans remains strong and continues to grow as the election nears. Noem’s call for unity behind Trump is a sign that the party is ready to consolidate their support and focus on defeating Biden in November.
As the country heads into a critical election year, the stakes are high, and the fight for the White House will be fierce. Noem’s message is a timely reminder that the Republican Party must come together to ensure Trump’s re-election and continue their efforts to keep America great.
