Greyhound Bus Fights Biden’s Immigration Policy, Tells Biden To Go Pound Sand, ‘Our Top Priority Is The Safety Of Our…
Biden hasn’t been in office long and he’s already created a crisis at our southern border. Now, state officials, local officials, and businesses are trying to pick up the pieces.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Greyhound bus company are pushing back against President Joe Biden’s immigration policy.
CEO David Leach has informed the DHS that they will no longer allow detainees released by ICE to board their buses without proof of a negative coronavirus test.
“Our top priority is the safety of our employees and passengers,” Greyhound CEO David Leach wrote in a letter sent to DHS. “We need assurance that any detainees released by ICE have proof of a negative COVID-19 test, similar to the proof required for international airline passengers who arrive at U.S. ports of entry.”
“Greyhound already asks our customers to stay home and not travel if they are not feeling well or have been diagnosed with COVID,” the letter said. “However, migrants simply do not have that choice unless the government or their sponsors house them while they quarantine.”
“Therefore, it is critical to public safety that ICE provide 100 percent assurance that no one released that can be reasonably expected to ride a Greyhound bus be infected with COVID-19 (or mixed with other potential passengers that have tested negative),” Leach said in the letter.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott blasted Biden for releasing illegal immigrants who are infected with the coronavirus into the country.
“The unconscionable act by the Biden Administration of releasing COVI-positive illegal immigrants in our state puts the lives of Texans and Americans at risk.”

Abbott said that immigration is the federal governments responsibility and they must “test, screen, and quarantine illegal immigrants crossing our border who may have COVID.”
Since the new broke out of Brownsville, Texas that ICE was releasing illegal immigrants positive for COVID-19 into the community DHS head Mayorkas told reporters that asylum-seekers are no longer being released into the country “due to Title 42 border restrictions to stop the spread of COVID-19.”
