Ho-Hum…Trump’s Tax Returns Are Released

The mainstream media are like 5-year-olds on Christmas morning. Former President Donald Trump’s tax returns have finally been released after years of baseless speculation about what might be in them that is incriminating. 

The Democrats made this move as an unprecedented abuse of their power, they actually seized a private citizen’s taxes and dropped them in the lap of the press. This was not an act of congressional oversight, because Trump is not in government. And they are not able to show any legitimate reason for the investigation of any wrongdoing. 

So once again every news cycle will focus on every detail of these returns. 

We can be pretty confident that there is nothing of serious concern in these tax returns because the Democrat-led committee that released them has gone over them with a fine-toothed comb for the last year. Conspiracy theorists have tried to pin Russian collusion or tax fraud on the former president, but that is just not there. 

They will likely prove that Trump has taken a loss on his taxes, which is completely legal, and that will be the “big” smoking gun. But surely this is more smoke than the gun. And instead of finding out a hidden connection between Trump and Putin, they will find out that being president made Trump poorer. 

There is just no what that the New York Times is going to find something in the next week or two that bloodthirsty Democrats couldn’t find over a year of searching. 

So to save face, the Times will simply rehash old news with shiny new titles. So the “new” breathtaking revelations will be the old story that Trump didn’t pay any taxes in 2020 because Trump didn’t make any money in 2020. And the social media forces will eat it up, again.
