Biden’s Mandate Creates New Crisis After Hospital Makes Alarming Announcement
An earlier mandate imposed by former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is causing Lewis County General Hospital to stop delivering babies after September 24th.
During a new conference Lewis County Health System CEO Gerald Cayer announced that 30 hospital workers resigned from the hospitals maternity ward because they refused to get the coronavirus vaccine.
“Our hope is as we get closer (to the deadline), the numbers will increase of individuals who are vaccinated, fewer individuals will leave and maybe, with a little luck, some of those who have resigned will reconsider,” Cayer told reporters. “We are not alone. There are thousands of positions that are open north of the Thruway and now we have a challenge to work through, you know, with the vaccination mandate.”
As we reported before Biden’s mandate, hospital systems that decided to enforce a vaccine mandates are still facing labor shortages.
Independent journalist Alex Berenson has discovered that doctors and nurses are leaving their jobs because they are refusing to get vaccinated.
Unfortunately, you won’t see Berenson tweets, he was censored by Twitter for correctly predicting the case spike in Israel and the data that the mRNA vaccine effectiveness decreased over time. He was censored by big tech about a week after posting screen shots of letters he was receiving from medical staff about shortages due to mandates. You can follow Berenson here on substack.
Berenson reported about 40-45% of the staff at Duke Healthcare systems are “protesting/refusing/getting exemptions” for the vaccine and that up to 20% of the “old guard” are considering early retirement. Nurses are being begging to take extra shifts and Duke can’t fill open positions despite a $15,000 signing bonus.

We are about to see the negative effects of a mandate starting this week as New York City imposes a passport system for indoor concerts, restaurants, and gyms.
From the New York Post:
The citywide mandate is the first such requirement in the nation.
Mayor Bill de Blasio has hailed the so-called “Key to NYC” plan as a crucial measure to reduce the spread of the highly contagious Delta strain — but Big Apple businesses are expecting to face challenges.
The city plans on enforcing the mandate beginning September 13 however has given very little guidance to restaurants on how to enforce the mandate. Additionally, restaurants aren’t happy they are the ones going to be responsible for verifying customers vaccine status.
From CNBC:
Art Depole, who co-owns a Mooyah Burgers said that more than half of his employees are vaccinated. However, he’s seeing vocal pushback from a handful of his unvaccinated workers, who are threatening to quit if the inoculation becomes a term of their employment. Enforcing the mandates also puts the burden on his staff, who would have to handle noncompliant customers.
Officials claim the mandate is going to help the city but more than likely they are about to create their own crisis like healthcare systems are experiencing.
