House Rep MTG Has Had Just Enough of Tlaib – Watch the Explosion
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has introduced a resolution seeking to censure Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) over allegations of “antisemitic activity, sympathizing with terrorist organizations, and leading an insurrection at the United States Capitol Complex.” This move comes in response to recent controversies surrounding Tlaib’s statements and actions.
Greene’s resolution highlights several incidents involving Tlaib, including her participation in a demonstration calling for a ceasefire in Israel following a terrorist attack in which over 1,400 Israelis were killed. The demonstration led to a prohibited gathering in the Cannon House Office Building’s rotunda, resulting in arrests and charges of assaulting a U.S. Capitol Police officer.
The resolution also points to Tlaib’s repeated promotion of debunked Hamas disinformation, falsely claiming Israel’s involvement in an airstrike on a hospital. Greene cited these incidents as evidence of Tlaib’s alignment with Hamas and her spreading of misinformation.
Additionally, the resolution highlights Tlaib’s controversial statements in the past, including her celebration of the Holocaust and her retweet of an illustration with the slogan, “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” a slogan associated with the Palestine Liberation Organization and Hamas.
The resolution emphasizes Tlaib’s disdain for Israel, accusing her of stating that one cannot claim to hold progressive values while supporting Israel’s “apartheid government.” Furthermore, it cites Tlaib’s call for lifting the blockade, ending the occupation, and dismantling the apartheid system in Israel, rather than denouncing Hamas attacks.
Tlaib’s alleged promotion of anti-American sentiment is also mentioned, with reference to a message blaming America for the deaths of Palestinian babies at the hands of Israel.
