Impeachment 2.0: Defeated Nadler Now Pursues A Former Trump Official
Furious that they looked like fools and were humiliated during the Senate impeachment trial of President Trump, Democrat Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) is now pursuing a former Trump official.
On Wednesday Nadler, House Judiciary Committee Chairman warned that he is still going to continue the investigation into President Trump’s dealings with Ukraine and may soon issue a subpoena for former national security adviser John Bolton.
Nadler was asked if he was given permission by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and he said, “yeah.”
Nadler reluctantly admitted he doesn’t know exactly when he is going to subpoena Bolton and could hold off for a bit. He said he’s waiting for the ruling on court case to be decided seeking that former White House counsel Don McGahn testify despite the Trump Administrations’ assertion of privilege. The DC Circuit Court of Appeals heard oral arguments on the case in early January and a ruling is expected this week.
Nadler was also asked if he’s afraid of the repercussion of continuing the investigation after losing impeachment and he replied, “First of all, I think when you have a lawless president, you have to bring that to the fore and you have to spotlight that.”
Bring it, Jerry! Have you ever heard of the boy who cried wolf? You, Democrats, are doing a fantastic job and if they spend the entire year holding up legislation in the House trying to remove the President they can kiss the House goodbye.
Meanwhile, on Thursday the President showed off the Washington Post headline:
