In the Battle Between Governors Newsom and DeSantis, You Won’t Believe Who Sided with DeSantis!

This sounds like it should be a Hollywood script! The story does come from California, but it is not made up. Gov. Gavin Newsom, the wildly progressive Democratic governor of California has family members that are huge fans of rival GOP Governor Ron DeSantis from Florida.
This is just beautiful!
Gov. Newsom has taken great delight in calling out DeSantis, and it turns out that his in-laws are DeSantis supporters.
According to contribution records, Kenneth Siebel Jr. and Judith Siegel, the parents of Newsom’s wife, made a $5,000 donation to the Friends of Ron DeSantis PAC on April 6, 2022.
I wonder what Thanksgiving dinner is going to be like as Newsom is licking up gravy as well as his wounds after the midterm elections.
Outkick founder Clay Travis pointed out the humor of all of this.
“I’m sure he’s humiliated because of how aggressive he’s come out against Ron DeSantis. There’s a possibility that this could be a presidential election in 2024 or 2028,” Travis said.
He also said that Newsom got everything wrong and DeSantis got everything right.
Siebel has a long history of donating to the Republican Party. His recent contributions have included the campaigns of Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) and Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark).
Newsom has taken some political hits since this news was made public to voters. Davis, for one, believes that Newsom knows that DeSantis has become one of the most popular political figures in the nation and he is having trouble reconciling that.
It was back in July that Newsom released an ad lashing out at DeSantis saying that the residents of Florida are experiencing “freedom is under attack.” He urged them to move to California where people still believe in freedom.
DeSantis just responded by talking about the huge amount of California license plates that are in his state.
