In USA Gas Station Banning Has Begun
The lunatics in charge of Louisville, Colorado, have decided to take drastic steps to fight an issue that is not even real: climate change. The city council has voted to ban any new gas stations from moving into their city and has also mandated that the entire city’s municipal electricity needs must come from “carbon–free sources by 2025” and 75 percent of its residential, commercial, and industrial needs with carbon–free sources by 2030.
This is all simply moral exhibitionism. The city council is focused on nonsense instead of the basics like good roads, productive schools, and garbage collection. These radical policies will do nothing to help the citizens of Louisville and it is hard to blame the city council when the voters put up with it.
In no way, shape, or form will banning gas stations or renewable energy sources make a difference to the climate. In fact, the city council even admitted that the move wouldn’t stop climate change. This is simply a case of a city council trying to virtue signal its constituents by implementing radical policies that will not even do anything to help the environment.
These policies will only hurt the citizens of Louisville by making it harder to get gas, driving up electricity costs, and making it more difficult to find sustainable energy sources. These measures are simply not necessary and are only being implemented to make a statement.
The bottom line is that this city council is wasting its time and energy on a “problem” that does not even exist. It is time for the citizens of Louisville to take a stand and demand that their city council focuses on the real issues that affect their lives, instead of wasting their time on symbolic gestures that do nothing to improve the lives of their constituents.
