Things Go From Bad To Worse For DNC, Investigators Show They Didn’t Just Meddle In Caucus Chaos, They Intentionally Caused It
The Democrat National Committee has been caught meddling in the Iowa Caucus. Could this have been a trial run for the November election?
Earlier this year the Democrat Iowa Caucus turned into chaos because an app being used for reporting failed. According to a recent report conducted by the state, it was all the DNC’s fault.
Initially, the report suggested that the DNC was responsible for mandating the app to be used, it turns out the DNC was directly involved in the development process as well.
From The Intercept:
“The DNC was directly involved in the development process,” Nicholas Klinefeldt, a former federal attorney appointed by President Barack Obama, told the Iowa Democratic Party state steering committee in the December 12 meeting about the findings of an investigation he led alongside former Iowa Attorney General Bonnie Campbell.
Klinefeldt’s revelation about the committee’s involvement counters the DNC’s claim it made immediately after the Iowa caucuses. Back then, the DNC claimed it had “absolutely no involvement” in the development or coding of the Shadow app, which was supposed to record and report caucus results.
“The whole thing didn’t feel right, the whole [DNC] intrusion into the Iowa process didn’t feel right,” James Zogby, a 28-year DNC member who supported Bernie Sanders’s candidacy.
Yup, that’s because the DNC rigged the election to make sure Bernie wouldn’t win.
The investigation was conducted by Bonnie Campbell, the former attorney general of Iowa, and Faegre Drinker, an international law firm. The investigation included dozens of interviews with top IDP staffers, employees of Shadow (the company that designed the reporting app), and representatives of the Biden, Bernie Sanders, and Pete Buttigieg campaigns.
The DNC refused to participate and now we know why, their digital fingerprints are all over the app.
The report sharply blamed the DNC because it was their app that failed. Those districts that used the state party’s app did not have any complications.
According to the report, the DNC demanded the tech company, Shadow, build a conversion tool just a few weeks before the caucuses “to allow the DNC to have real-time access to the results.”
The coding of the software was flawed causing inaccurate numbers.
The report states:
“When the DNC’s database conversion tool failed to work correctly, it caused the DNC to wrongly stop the IDP from reporting its results, and the IDP’s entire planned reporting process was thrown into disarray,” the report says. “The DNC’s interjection was the catalyst for the resulting chaos in the boiler room and in the IDP’s attempts to manually collect and confirm caucus results by hand. If the DNC had not interjected itself into the results reporting process based on its erroneous data conversion, caucus night could conceivably have proceeded according to the IDP’s initial plan.”
The report notes that the DNC “aggressively interjected itself in all of the IDP’s technology endeavors.”
As a result of the DNC’s meddling, only 439 of the 1,765 precincts reported successfully on the night of the caucus.
Immediately after the debacle, the DNC scoffed at caucuses claiming they are outdated and should cease. Other liberal pundits claimed it is racist that Iowa gets to vote first because the state is mainly white.
