Israel Continues Strikes
A broadcast on Iranian state television was dramatically interrupted when an Israeli airstrike hit near the studio, silencing a state TV anchor mid-sentence as she launched into an anti-Israel tirade.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) targeted buildings belonging to the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) in Tehran, part of a wider campaign against Iranian military and propaganda infrastructure.
During a live segment, a female announcer condemned Israel, calling its actions “the voice of the invader against the voice of truth and justice.” Before she could continue, explosions near the IRIB facility disrupted the transmission. The Wall Street Journal reported that blasts were audible during the broadcast, just hours after the IDF issued evacuation warnings to civilians in the area.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz confirmed the strike, stating that the IDF had deliberately targeted IRIB, describing it as “the Iranian regime’s propaganda and incitement broadcasting authority.”
The precision strike is part of a broader Israeli offensive launched after June 13, aimed at neutralizing Iran’s ballistic missile capabilities and strategic infrastructure. The IDF claims it has established full control over Iranian airspace. As of Monday, Israeli forces had destroyed approximately one-third of Iran’s missile launchers.
According to IDF reserve lieutenant colonel Arie Zaiden, the operational advantage is significant: “The IDF has completely taken control of the airspace over Iran. This is a military fact.” He emphasized that Israel’s strategy now focuses on sustaining momentum, with adequate supplies and support from the United States and other international allies.
The IDF contrasted its approach with Iran’s, highlighting efforts to minimize civilian casualties. “We just published an evacuation warning in Farsi for civilians in Tehran,” the IDF said. “Israeli civilians do not get evacuation warnings before running to shelters. We aren’t the same.”
This follows Iran’s earlier missile attacks on major Israeli cities including Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Petah Tikvah — with combined populations exceeding one million.
