January 6 Committee Going After Foundation of America – Watch
Members of Congress are supposed to uphold the Constitution, but the January 6 Committee is struggling with this basic core value. They called the events of January 6 an “attack on democracy” and then they worked to smear any Republican who simply questioned 2020 election as “attacking democracy.”
But raising questions or objections to elections was provided for within the Constitution. And it was completely hypocritical given Committee members like Rep. Jamie Raskin had themselves objected to accepting elections in the past.
Democrats had been objecting, casting doubt on elections, and denying them for at least two decades. Raskin not only had issues with Trump’s election in 2016, he questioned Bush’s election in 2000 and called him the “court-appointed” president.
Both Bush and Trump won the Electoral College, which under our constitutional system means they won, no matter how much the Democrats might whine about it.
And now, Jamie Raskin is going after the very foundation of our Constitution, the Electoral College. He is saying it is “dangerous to democracy” and the American people.
Raskin said, “Well, I think that the Electoral College now, which has given us five popular vote losers as president in our history, twice in this century alone, has become a danger not just to democracy, but to the American people. It was a danger on January 6th, there are so many curving byways and nooks and crannies in the Electoral College, that there are opportunities for a lot of strategic mischief. We should elect the president, the way we elect governors, senators, mayors, representatives, everybody else, whoever gets the most votes wins.”
He is claiming that those who framed the Constitution did not have the experience we have lived and the Electoral College does not “fit” anymore.
What he is saying is that our system is dangerous to the kind of power the Democrats what in our country, and the control they want states like New York and California to have.
Maybe we need to start calling Raskin and his allies “Constitution deniers.”

Our Founders foresaw cynical elected leaders like Rep @jamie_raskin, how they would attempt to manipulate the election system, and set up the Electoral College to assure the Raskins are unable to subvert the Republic.
Raskin knows this. He’s subversive as Hell but he’s no dummy.
