Liz Cheney Just Gave Trump a Laughable Warning – Watch
Liz Cheney lost her primary election by almost 40 points and the media declared that she would be more powerful than ever. Really?
The truth is that Cheney has wilted into nothingness, as she finished the last few months of her final term in the House of Representatives. Like her role in Washington, his position on the January 6 committee has become non-significant outside of the Washington D.C. beltway. The rest of the country is not paying attention anymore.
So to get a little limelight, Cheney recently warned Trump that he would not be allowed to turn the committee into a “circus.”
While speaking to NBC’s Chuck Todd on “Meet the Press,” Cheney told him that the committee would treat any deposition from Trump with “great seriousness.”
“We are going to proceed in terms of the questioning of the former president under oath. It may take multiple days, and it will be done with a level of rigor and discipline and seriousness that it deserves. He’s not going to turn this into a circus. This isn’t going to be the first debate against President Biden and the circus and the food fight that it became,” Cheney said.
Most people believe that you can’t turn the January 6 committee into a circus because it already is.
The whole process has been a partisan political weapon meant to change the storyline to benefit the Democratic Party.
Cheney and her team have provided zero evidence the former president had any part in what took place on January 6th.
What are the odds that President Trump will go behind closed doors for a deposition? If he did this, Cheney and her crew would dissect it and just release selective parts. This is what they have done with past witnesses.
Let’s hope this all waits for the GOP to gain control of both chambers of the House. Then Cheney will have no hope of any significance.
