Look Out! Here Comes the Gay Spider-Man
Look out! Here comes the gay Spider-Man. It has been announced that the newest arachnid superhero will be the Marvel character Web-Weaver and he will be gay.
Screen Rant wrote, “Comic publishers like Marvel have been stepping up their game for Pride Month more and more as the years go by, and (now)…Marvel has announced its first gay Spider-Man: Web-Weaver!”
The superhero will “swing” into action in September in the Edge of Spider-Verse #5. According to Pink News, the new character will have a “fearlessly femme identity.”
The profile of Web-Weaver is described as a “not-so-mild mannered fashion designer at Van Dyne [industries].” This is the company owned by the character Janet Van Dyne or “The Wasp.”
After the human character gets bit by the bug, he portrays a new kind of hero. According to the drawings of his costume, it will feature flared sleeves, a ruff, yellow detailing, and lashes on the spider lenses.

Steve Fox is the co-creator of the gay Spiderman. He boasted about his “non-heteronormative opportunity.”
“Surprise: I had the huge gay honor of helping to co-create Web-Weaver, who’ll make his debut in Edge of the Spider-verse this September!”
Web-Weaver is not alone, in 2020 the Disney-owned Marvel revealed the New Warriors, the psychic twin’s Snowflake and Safespace.
Snowflake is non-binary and goes by they/them. They/them have the power to generate individual crystalized snowflake-shaped shurikens.
Safespace can create pink forcefields, but he can’t enter them himself because they only work at protecting others. He is big and looks like a jock.
One critic of the move asked the following question: “Eight percent of the U.S. (is) LGTBQAI+. What’s the point of making Spider-Man gay? He’s never been gay. Makes zero sense other than to push the Agenda…”
